Discover Ways to Serve. Build Your Experience. Explore Behavioral Health Careers.
The BeHERE NV Youth Volunteer Virtual Forum is an interactive event connecting high school students with organizations offering volunteer opportunities related to behavioral health, wellness, healthcare, disability services, youth development, and community support.
Students will learn what local organizations do, who they serve, and how young volunteers can get involved. Participating organizations will discuss available opportunities, age and time requirements, skills students can gain, and advice for first-time volunteers.
What to Expect
During the forum, students will:
- Hear brief presentations from community organizations
- Explore one-time, ongoing, summer, weekend, and virtual volunteer opportunities
- Learn how volunteering can support future behavioral health and helping-profession careers
- Discover the skills and qualities organizations seek in volunteers
- Ask questions during a student-led discussion
- Receive information to help them connect with participating organizations
